SEND Power’s monthly Walk and Talk is a relaxed, friendly meetup for parents, carers and guardians of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND).

The January session takes place on Monday 12 January 2026, meeting at 11:30am outside Chestnuts Community Centre (N15 5BN) for a gentle 30-minute stroll in Chestnuts Park, followed by a café visit. The event is free and usually finishes around 12:30pm.

When & where

  • Date: Monday 12 January 2026
  • Time: Meet at 11:30am; event ends around 12:30pm
  • Meeting point: Outside Chestnuts Community Centre, N15 5BN — the walk follows a short route through Chestnuts Park (St Ann’s Road, N15 3AQ). Attendees are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early so the group can set off promptly for the 30-minute walk.

What to expect

This session is deliberately low-key and inclusive: a gentle, sociable walk suitable for most fitness levels, followed by refreshments at the local café. The café visit is a chance to chat, swap experiences and meet other carers in a friendly environment. Whether you want company for exercise, peer support, or simply a change of scenery, the walk provides a supportive space to connect.
